The WPS Microsand Multi-Effect Clarifier is a new-generation process equipment built upon existing high-efficiency sedimentation tanks, using micron-grade refined quartz sand as a carrier to enhance the water treatment effect.
By adding microsand as ballast material, flocs form around the microsand particles, significantly increasing floc density and settling velocity to 100–130 m/h — far exceeding the 10–20 m/h of conventional settling. The process is particularly suited to treating low-turbidity, algae-laden and other hard-to-settle wastewater, and is ideal for retrofitting and upgrading existing sedimentation systems.
